| "This set of size 10's with the burn on the bottom is from a
fellow instructor, Scott, who is helping me teach. He is a Madison Fire Inspector
and the Training Officer of the Blooming Grove Fire Department. BGFD is a small
department that actually operates within the borders of the city of Madison, in isolated
"pockets" of townships that refused to incorporate into Madison. The
burn on the bottom of the boot happened when the Scott stepped on a live electrical wire
in a burned out house, and didn't realize it until his foot started smoking. Scott
was pretty nonchalant about telling the story, but could have died quickly had the
electricity reached the metal insole."
